Home cleaning after a transport accident

TAC can pay for approved home support where a transport-accident injury prevents a client from doing household tasks they were responsible for before the accident and the other TAC eligibility conditions are met. Silv's focuses on domestic cleaning.

Laundry Services

Laundry is not marketed by Silv's as a standard TAC-funded home-support service.

  • Private wash, dry and fold can be booked separately
  • Pickup and return available under our normal laundry service where suitable
  • If a TAC coordinator separately approves laundry, we require that approval in writing
  • We do not add laundry to a TAC invoice without an approved billing instruction
  • Cleaning remains the primary TAC service

How TAC-funded cleaning works

01

Treating-provider recommendation

The client's treating health provider recommends home support because of the transport-accident injury.

02

TAC approval

The client receives TAC approval showing the home-support service that can be provided.

03

Give us the details

We need the TAC claim number, approval and agreed cleaning schedule before treating the service as TAC-funded.

04

Clean & invoice

We record the service duration and invoice in line with the current TAC Home Services Fee Schedule and approval.

Important: TAC's published support-at-home pathway lists house cleaning as a fundable service and requires TAC approval. We do not represent laundry as automatically TAC-funded.
Current provider position: TAC states that new providers can still provide home services and bill using the Home Services Fee Schedule even while new preferred-provider applications are paused. The current schedule effective 1 July 2026 includes Domestic Services/Home Services and Housekeeping items at the published TAC maximum rates.

Provider statusSilv’s delivers cleaning and laundry services through provider arrangements for NDIS, DVA, TAC and aged-care clients. Services are subject to the client’s approved supports and agreement with their provider.

TAC cleaning questions

What do you need before the first TAC clean?

We need the client's TAC claim number and a copy of the TAC approval, plus the approved cleaning scope and schedule.

Can TAC pay Silv's directly?

TAC states it can pay the home-services provider when the provider has the client's TAC claim number and a copy of the approval. We still invoice only the approved service and follow the current TAC fee schedule.

Can laundry be added?

Yes as a private Silv's service. If the client wants TAC to pay for laundry, we require separate written TAC approval before putting it on a TAC invoice.

What if my approval changes?

Send us the updated approval before the next service so we can keep the schedule and invoice aligned with the TAC-authorised scope.

Have TAC approval for home cleaning?

Send us the claim and approval details and we can confirm a cleaning schedule. Laundry can be kept separate unless the TAC specifically authorises it.
